Figure Skates for Men and Boys

Figure skates for beginner to advanced. We feature skates from Jackson Ultima, and Riedell.

These skates are appropriate for recreational skating at your local indoor or outdoor rink, public and private skating lessons. Higher priced skates offer more padding and support over the lower priced ones. Leather skates offer more comfort and support over vinyl ones, but are more expensive.

For the skater taking "badge" lessons, such as Skate with Us (USFSA) and ISA Learn to Skate Programs, we recommend a leather skate. There are some vinyl skates that offer adequate support for the beginner skater in these programs.

Competitive skaters will want to move up to a skate in our "Beginner/Insructional" category. If you are jumping and spinning, you'll want to make sure your blade has the correct configuration for the elements you are working on. You'll need a boot with adequate support as well. An appropriate skate will start around $90.00. As you move up in ability, as you grow and improve, you'll continue to move up in boot support and blade configuration as well.
